SCORM Integration

For customers with an existing LMS system that is SCORM (version 1.2) compatible, the Atobi platform can export SCORM packages to the LMS while tracking and sharing user progress and scores back to the Atobi platform.

To avoid managing users in two systems, Atobi can be configured to:

  • Allow access to certain data without requiring a password.
  • Automatically create new users based on the data the LMS shares with Atobi via SCORM standards.

These features require enabling "Open Registration" on Atobi's side to handle user creation and "Easy Access" to ensure users are not prompted for a password within each SCORM course.

Read more about Easy Access here.

When exporting SCORM packages, the content editor selects a default language and store (location). New users are linked to the selected store in Atobi, and the default language determines how the SCORM course is displayed to them.

Exported SCORM courses open within the LMS using an iFrame that displays the Atobi Article through Atobi's SCORM player. For security, Atobi prevents embedding into external systems by default, but exceptions can be configured to accept specific URLs. During onboarding, Atobi's Customer Success team will request the LMS URL and adjust the platform settings to permit iFraming. These settings can later be modified through the Atobi web interface as needed.

Atobi's Customer Success team is available to assist with configuring the platform to ensure seamless integration.
